Activists in Colombia closed out Pride month on July 3 with parades and celebrations across the country that were designed not just to celebrate diversity, but also to commemorate the hard-fought historical battles of the activists who preceded them and to defend the rights of a stigmatized population in a country where an LGBTIQ+ person is murdered weekly.
