I feel for the people. In my home province of South Africa, there've been 22 political assassinations, and elections still a year away.

Occasionally the right news gets out, but, overall, it's my assumption that my country isn't correctly reported on because we're seen as one of the important doors to Africa. Opposingly, the US ambassador stating publicly that we sold arms to Russia was likely a lie for leverage.

I've never been to South America but empathise with their challenges, thinking that some of the countries there (Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina) are kin to South Africa.

Hell, no. Don't go to Jo-Burg! Half our country is unemployed, and that place carries the wounds. Durban and Cape Town better. And Knysna is the prettiest town.
